Simon Fryer is without a doubt one of Canada's most important cellists. We have had the opportunity of performing together and found his unusual sensitivity to the chamber music repertoire a joy. He possesses a lyrical approach to his instrument reminiscent of a fine tenor. His recitals present the repertoire with a musical intelligence and are simply not to be missed.
